Crested Gecko Morph Committee
The committee recommends the content of the Crested Gecko Morphs Standard. The Reptile Club adopts and publishes the Standard.
The committee has been seated and has begun its first body of work. Recommendations and supporting records will be published after The Reptile Club completes its adoption and publication process.
Committee members
Each seat is held by a crested gecko breeding program. One seat carries one vote, including where partners share the program.

Declarations
No current committee member holds a recusing interest in the matters now before the committee. Committee seats are voluntary and unpaid. Committee members received complimentary Registry credits while helping validate the registration workflow during beta testing.
Scope
The committee recommends which crested gecko traits and appearance terms the Crested Gecko Morphs Standard should carry. It also recommends definitions, inheritance language, and any welfare finding within that Standard. It does not judge individual animals, breeders, or conformation.
How a recommendation becomes part of the Standard
- A question is placed before the committee. Trait questions are separated so that recognition, inheritance, allelism, and welfare findings are considered on their own records.
- Conflicts are removed from deliberation and the vote. A member with a recusing interest may present evidence, but does not participate in deliberation or the vote.
- The committee considers the evidence. Participating members review the evidence and deliberate before voting.
- The committee votes. Trait recognition requires a two-thirds majority. Appearance terms and other placements require a simple majority. Quorum and participation requirements apply.
- The Reptile Club reviews the recommendation for adoption. The Reptile Club adopts and publishes accepted recommendations. If it declines a recommendation, it publishes the reason. It may not place a trait in a higher class than the committee recommended or add a trait the committee did not recommend.
The public record
When a decision is ready for publication, its record will show the question considered, participation, counts, outcome, and any recusal. Minority positions will be published without naming the members who submitted them. Individual votes will not be published.
A recommendation takes effect only when The Reptile Club adopts and publishes it as part of the Standard.
